This past week has been an extremely exciting week in the world of Online Poker at Reefer Poker. Just after my blog was posted last week, the  Bad Beat Jackpot hit and made 9 people a lot richer to say the least!

The loser of the jackpot hand had quad tens on the flop with the winning hand at that moment holding a full house of queens over tens. The turn was another queen which made quad queens beating his opponents quad tens! Shortly there after the fireworks were set off and the winning player eventually took home close to $200.000 with the loosing hand collecting over $300.000.

All the remaining players collected just over $18.000 each.

 As mentioned last week, the bad beat jackpot is a great way to promote Reefer Poker to your players and ReeferPartners offers many special Bad beat Jackpot Banners for you to use on your poker portals.

The jackpot has now been reset and is growing again by the minute with it currently sitting at $165.000!

 Now onto the new things at Reefer Poker!

•  Stoners Vs Staff Tournament

Due to the popular demand of our monthly Stoners Vs Staff tournamaents, we have now opted into holding this famous tournament on a weekly basis.

We have also decided to change the format slightly to make this prestigous event just a bit more challenging!

The weekly event will no longer be a rebuy event and will now be a $3 +0.30 buyin instead of the $2.20 buyin.

Players will now start with 2000 starting chips with the blinds staying at 10 minutes and we have now also introduced antes to make things a little more interesting.

The bounties on the staff have now also changed. Each week both RPForummod and RPDave will now have $30 bounties on their heads along with the winner of the previous weeks tornament. All other participating staff members will continue to have $10 bounties on their heads.

From time to time, Reefer Poker will invite a special guest pro to join us in this event and will place a $50 bounty on his or her head. Please check the blog frequently to see what guest we have!

The tournament will now take place each Thursday night at 9pm ESt or 8pm Reefer Poker Time.

Remember that myself (RPColin) and RPDave have an ongoing prop bet, which has without too much surprize been won by me both previous tournaments! Keep an eye out to see if I can make the count 3 in a row this coming Thursday and make RPDave's pocket even more empty!

• Reefer Poker Tour

The Reefer Poker Tour is now in full swing and each day the tournament that we have scheduled will be similar to the WSOP schedule. The top finishers from each event, along with the top player in the leaderboard will be invited to play in  our special Champions event on July 11th 2009.

• Reefer Progressive Pot is Back and currently at $220

The Reefer Poker progressive pot tournament is back and another fun thing to promote to your players!

Each night the pot grows by $10 untile 25 players play, then the bonus will be released.  The breakdown of the pot will work as follows when this hits.

1st place finisher will receive 50% of the pot

2nd place finisher will receive 25% of thepot

3rd place finisher will receive 15% of the pot

Once this pot hits, its not over as we then increase the numbers to 35 and start all over again!
